The wind that shakes the barley

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to talk about the film "The wind that shakes the barley" directed by the British Ken Loach. This movie based on in the period Irish War of Independence. But the drama isn’t only this, the war, the worst is that two brothers should confront each other.

The movie is good but not beautiful, because the ending is very sad. This is the second time that I watch the movie, and in this opportunity I could notice details that before I don’t could. Is a film exciting, because cause me a lot emotions: empathy, suspense or sadness.

My favorite character is Damien, of course. He is the hero of the film, he fought for him belief until the ending. In fact, this determination cause him death.

What I liked is almost the same as what I did not like. I know, it's weird. What I liked was the unexpected end, I was very surprised and that makes the movie a great movie. But what I did not like was that the unexpected end was Demian's death. That was sad.

And my favorite scene is the beginning, when all the young people play hurley, because at that moment they are very happy, as if they did not know what is going to happen.
